2025-November : NEW RELEASE : Smart Actions for OpenPages Release R3.44.0 is now available.
Crystal is releasing the latest version R3.44.0 of Smart Actions for OpenPages.
This new release adds three new Smart Actions as well as enhancements and improvements to the Smart Actions Engine core.
A major new feature of this release is a new Smart Actions User Interface allowing viewing and downloading of Application Server log files directly in the OpenPages UI.

2024-October : NEW RELEASE : Release R2.37.0 of Crystal Smart Actions now available.
Crystal is releasing the latest version R2.37.0 of Smart Actions for OpenPages.
This new release adds seven new Smart Actions as well as enhancements to the Smart Actions Engine core.
A key new feature of this release is the ability to limit who can log into OpenPages and the ability to force logout all existing users (except administrators).
This capability is designed for administrators so they can perform system maintenance knowing that normal users cannot log into OpenPages during the maintenance period. They can also extend access to select additional business users for final tests/checks before releasing the system for normal use.

Crystal is releasing the latest version of Smart Actions for OpenPages.
The major new feature is full Workflow integration, adding the capability to execute Smart Actions from within a Workflow allowing many new use-cases such as:
- Add an Attachment containing a Cognos Report as part of a Workflow Approval step.
- Move or Archive a record as part of a Workflow step
- Get / Refresh the Risks from the Library into an RCSA as part of Risk Assessment scoping workflow
- Run Approval Workflows on child Risks as part of a Risk Assessment Approval workflow step

2023-Sep : NEW PRODUCT : Announcing Smart Actions for OpenPages.
Crystal is introducing a new product called Smart Actions to OpenPages
Smart Actions are a toolkit of OpenPages activities that can be easily automated and tied into key business processes.
Below are just a few examples of problems that can be solved - with just a few hours of configuration:
- Disable User accounts that have been Inactive for more than X months.
- Send Users a weekly summary email of their OpenPages data (e.g., Issues due completion, risks due rating).
- Copy Library Risks to all RCSAs where the Risk is not already present
- Automatically associate Risks to relevant Aggregation records providing executive overview of risk, firm wide
- Hard Delete archived data after XX years
- When an RCSA is completed, a record of the whole RCSA should be stored with the Assessment record
- Automatically move records (and their children) to an Archive folder when tagged as ready for archive
